Local Control Accountability Plan and Stakeholder Survey

Beginning July 1, 2013, the State of California changed the funding formula for public
education. Under the new Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) public schools will receive
funding based on a new distribution model. Center Joint Unified schools will benefit from the additional revenue and one time money from the State, distributed over an eight year period.
Our wish is to restore programs and services that were reduced or eliminated with previous
budget cuts. The restoration of such services and programs must be prioritized and planned for
in an implementation and accountability plan. That plan, aligning the District's educational
goals with financial resources, is called the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). All
stakeholders (parents, community members, teachers, staff, and administrators) are being asked
to provide input on how to best align all current and new funding to meet the State's eight
priorities for student learning.  On the district's home page you will find a new icon labeled LCFF/LCAP. Please click on the icon to find out more information and to take a few minutes to complete the stakeholder survey.
Thank you in advance for your time and input!
